Quintel Wilson's 2022
Lima Gators team finished in 2nd place in the Silver Bracket at the Dru Joyce Shooting
Stars Classic last weekend. In pool play, Lima beat Hardwork Basketball (61-28)
and lost to Louisville United (65-51). In bracket play, Lima took down Ohio
Varsity Shooting Stars (55-29); New York’s City Rocks Black (56-31); and New
York’s 845 Elite (50-25). In the championship game, Lima went down to New
Jersey’s Hilltopper Heat (43-31).
The week before last, Lima struck gold at the Gym Rats April Classic in Fort Wayne, IN., going 5-0 with
wins over Gym Rats Ramer (65-43); SLYB (68-36); Ohio Reign (53-22); Midwest Ballers
(63-17); and Gym Rats Linder (63-51) in the championship game. During the
2-week stretch Lima enjoyed balanced scoring from Devin Taborn, Evan Unruh, Cecil Benton Jr, Brayden Knight, Quintel
Wilson Jr, and Willie Knight Jr.
