Dayton Swish Putting Together Quality Season

Ricky White’s 2023 Dayton Swish team currently has a quality season cooking.  Case in point, within the last few weeks, White’s team won the Parker Benard tourney in Dayton (4-0); won the Silver Bracket championship at the Bearcat Classic in Cincinnati; won the North Pittsburgh Championship; and won the Silver Bracket championship at the Dru Joyce Shooting Stars Classic last weekend.  At Dru Joyce’s event, the Swish went down to a talented MWA Elite on a last second trey (31-30) in pool play; then went on a 5-0 run with wins over Middleton Finest (28-13); Northwest Ohio Basketball (38-50); Ohio Phenom Academy (32-11); Rim Rockers (21-22); and MVP Dynasty (26-31). Impact players for the Swish include: Antaune Allen, Kalerrio Reaves, Zion Turner, Paul Woodward, Tyren Brown and Delmarr Blanton.  Stourm White and Mike Smith have also made key contributions.  We’re certainly not surprised by the Swish’s success, as several players on that team are ranked individually on our 2023 Top Player List.  We’ll get our next look at the Swish at our Buckeye Prep Summer Showdown June 16-18^th.
