Buckeye Prep Invitational A Great Success!

By most accounts, the 2017 Buckeye Prep Invitational was a great success! Not only did we have 168 teams (the most ever), many of the teams were elite and hailed from all over the country and Canada. You should know that my staff and I worked very hard to create a positive experience for our guests. Also, we would like to congratulate our champions and all of the teams and players that participated in our event. Over the next couple of days we will be publishing recaps as soon as we've had an opportunity to recharge!!  As a reminder, our next event, the Buckeye Prep Summer Showdown, is currently scheduled for June 16-18th here in Columbus.  We will only be accepting 68 teams, so spots are are limited.  Below are links to 2 videos that do a great job of providing some insight and context to the event.  Thanks again to everybody that attended the event and we hope to see you soon!

  1. There was more to maumee bay turf then mike greenlee. Although he is a very good player he is not the only one. Is it because he was at your spring showcase while the rest of the team was winning Spartan showcase. Again not taking anything away from mike as he is a good player, but he's not the only one. The TEAM made it to the semi finals.

  2. I agree that your team is more than Greenlee; in fact, I planned to write about just that! You guys are so sensitive, inpatient and quick to analyze every word and situation. Most often, you make assumptions and draw conclusions without all of the facts, and with the belief we have the worst intentions when we write about players and teams. We just try to give the most kids the most exposure they deserve, and sure, if we see them more and are more comfortable with their game, we may tend to spot them in a crowd more and highlight them. Yes, Greenlee was at our showcase in the spring, and last year as well. No crime in that from our perspective. And yes, when it all comes down to it, we will more certainly support those players and teams (when warranted)who respect, appreciate and support us; no apologies there! If you would have waited a few more days and/or called us, there would have been no need for your unfortunate and inaccurate comments. It's for reasons like this I will continue disable the comment feature of this website, because too many people want to throw stones from the crowd while totally missing their mark!

    1. No stones thrown. Mike is a good player as mentioned and deserves the accolades. MBT has several players just as talented as they are a cohesive team. Sorry you misconstrude the point. Appreciated what you are doing otherwise would not even bother. Thank you for the recognition of the team as it is well deserved. God Bless
