All-Ohio Dominates In Indiana

All-Ohio Red-Indy Gardens Gold Medal Invitational Champs

DeMarko Bradley’s 6th grade All-Ohio Red squad ran through the competition at the Indy Gardens Gold Medal Invitational in Fishers, Indiana over the weekend. As a tune up for the NYBL in Maryland this weekend, Bradley’s team finished 6-0, and notched impressive wins over the Hoosier State’s top teams.

Because the tournament had a super pool in the 6th grade division, All-Ohio jumped right in the heat with pool games against arguably the top 2 teams in the state, in the G3 Hoosiers and Raw Hoops. Right out of the box, and in front of a packed crowd, Red matched up against the Hoosiers and proceeded to handle them easily to the tune of a 78-57 victory.  In game two, Bradley’s team crushed Raw Hoops 70-40. It’s important to note that both teams featured national ranked players, and are widely considered nationally ranked teams.

In the opening round of bracket play All-Ohio drew a forfeit from the Indiana Thunder (they probably knew the deal), before taking down the Illinois Raptors 90-25. The semi-final game featured a showdown with another of Indiana’s top teams, the Jeff Teague All-Stars. As was the case with their previous opponents, Jeff Teague proved to be no match, as they fell to All-Ohio 70-55.

The championship game featured a rematch with the G3 Hoosiers, the defending AAU National Champions. This time around, a sluggish start found Red down 19-7 to the Hoosiers before Bradley turned up the defensive intensity with their patterned full-court press. After erasing the early deficit, and with a little more than 1 minute left in the contest and the game tied at 38, Jerome Frances drained a trey to give All-Ohio a lead they would not relinquish. Red would go onto to win 50-40. Congratulations to the All-Ohio red players, coaches and parents for making Ohio proud!

  4. I'd love to see birth certificates on these kids. I'm laughing at how old some of them are. 12U 6th grade folks.......Can you say holdback city?!? Or, cheat city!!! Of course they are going to roll teams like they do... Legit teams can't compete and that's ok...They will be better for it. The older kids on this team won't be....Sad. This sport has to clean itself up.. Seriously...

  5. Forgot to mention... When a team like this comes in and rolls some of the top teams in the nation, you know something is wrong.....

  7. Forgot to mention....You can call the NYBL to confirm if need be!

  8. Unfortunately, the nature of this sport and many others has become a world of doing whatever it takes to get a win.....Wins mean exposure....That being said... No, don't need to check NYBL...Not making a specific claim against this team, but we know plenty of teams who change birth certificates and report cards, so calling to verify just wouldn't prove anything either way... It is what it is. Once HS comes around things will play out how they should....

  9. But you did ask for proof and made the assumption that kids were too old and they were held back!!!! Once high school comes around they will still be in the same class(2019)and have the same birth dates,so yes write call and verify save it,so when high school comes around for this class and players, give these kids and parents there just do for working hard to be the best!!!! HATER!!!

  10. This is laughable to me .. These kids have been playing together for years . Instead of embracing something special narrow minded individuals always have to look for a way to criticize rather than be supportive . These kids have worked extremely hard to get where they are . They have put in the time and effort to be this good there is no need to cheat ! Hard work pays off .

  11. Everyone doesn't have to cheat to win, our boys win because they practice and train hard to get better. But not only are they good on the court, they are good students in the classroom. Sorry, that you have to spend your time trying to put out negative assumptions on blogs, but we are about building our kids for a better future. How about trying that sometimes.
