Northland Advance to Regional Final
With their 57-52 win over the Gahanna Lincoln Lions, the Northland Vikings booked their spot in the Regional Finals on Saturday, where they will face the winner of the Westerville South v Lakota East semi-final game. As expected, the game was close until the final minutes of the contest, and ffeatured multiple ties and lead changes. The Vikings led at the end of each quarter, including a 1 point lead (31-30) going in to the half. The game was still up for grabs late, as the score was as close as 52-54 with 17 seconds remaining. The difference in the game was the stellar play of Trey Burke, who played every minute of the game, and led his team with a game-high 27 points. Jordan Potts finished with 12 points, followed by Devon Scott (10). Gahanna was led in scoring by Jamel Morris who scored a team-high 13 points, followed by Trey Warr (12) and Stevie Taylor (11).
