NYBL All-Star Game Rosters  (Last Updated 9-12-14)

Parents/Coaches,

Attached please find the latest draft of the showcase rosters and schedule. Please double check to insures your son/player is accounted for and is in the correct division. Please check the other divisions as well to insure he's not listed on multiple teams. If you see a player/coaches name and you know he is not planning to attend the event, please contact me ASAP and advise. The final and official information will be posted at the site.  There may still be some minor changes to the rosters as I react to cancellations, no shows, or my errors.  Therefore, it's very important that you check the website (www.buckeyeprep.blogspot.com) tomorrow night for updates, then again when you arrive at the site. For players not participating in the NYBL all-star games, you will not have to report until 3:00pm on Saturday to register; all others should plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before your all-star game in order to complete the registration and pre-game activities (pictures). In addition, make sure you bring proof of your payment.  Although some players will not play their first game until later Saturday afternoon and evening, we would prefer that you arrive for the opening remarks and guest speaker.  By doing so, it will allow us to take an accounting of the players that report so the rosters are intact.  Moreover, once we get started the games will eventually start early, as we have built in more than enough time between games so we don't run late.  Consequently, we suggest you report for your game at least 45 minutes before start time.

If you are a showcase coach, you need to be in the gym by 2:30pm and be available for a coaches meeting at 3:30pm. Please plan to sign/check in upon your arrival. You will be provided with a coaches packet, clipboard and t-shirt, and will meet in the media/coaches lounge for the meeting. Additionally, please take a few minutes to read the coaches letter attached to this email.  Also review the ranking/evaluation sheet and be prepared to discuss the same on Saturday. Because I have had a couple of "last minute" cancellations to my coaching staff, I'm still looking for a handful of volunteers. In addition to access to the coaches/media lounge  where you can eat and drink free all day while getting away from the madness,  we are also attempting to set up a location where all of the coaches and media can meet Saturday night to watch the Floyd Mayweather fight together.  I will keep you posted on our progress.  If you are interested, please contact me ASAP at 614-203-2929.  In my experience, coaches have enjoyetheir experience at the event!

Finally, it will be a long weekend and a lot of people in the gym, so please arrive with a healthy dose of patience and a positive attitude. There will be a $5.00 admission fee each day, so plan accordingly. Although we should be in good shape with seating, it might not be a bad idea to bring a chair just in case. The main parking parking lot will be adjacent to the football field. Cars will not be ticketed. In closing, my staff and I are working hard to make the weekend a positive experience, but we can't do it without your help!  We run a tight ship and will not put up with any foolishness! We invite you to take some time and watch some of the games, as the talent we have amassed for this event is unmatched. Safe travels to everyone and we will see you on Saturday!
