Recently, the Buckeye Prep Report was able to provide input to Clark Francis and the Hoop Scoop for their national top player lists. From Ohio, nine rising freshmen made the list of 175 players, while five players made the top 100 list of rising 8th graders. In the next couple weeks the Hoops Scoop will be releasing their list of the top rising 7th graders in the nation, as well as the top rising 6th graders. Hopefully, we can continue to get Ohio representation on these national lists. Below are the links to Hoop Scoop's national rankings.

National Rankings for 7th and 8th graders? Is this some type of joke and what possible good could come from ranking players at this young and impressionable age?
ReplyDeleteNo Joke! Trust me, there is a market for this information and opportunities for the players listed.
ReplyDeleteClark Francis and Hoop Scoop 2015 National Rankings have always done a great job with rankings. But have missed on a kid out of Arizona. JALEN JENKINS a 6'3 or 6'4 SG,G that is for real! Man this kid can do it all and i mean against the older class too. I think once Clark Francis and his people see this kid go to work on the floor he will push his way to the top of that list. Im going to say he'll preview top #5 at the lowest.
ReplyDeleteHey I know Jalen Jenkins Burkett hes from Seattle Washington THE 206 BABY!! not Arizona but he is down there now.
ReplyDelete1: first your right Jalen is a top #5 player or higher he is killing it in a big way down in AZ we lost the one we call THE FUTURE! to those guys.Jalen I hope your working as hard as you were when you were up here soon the world will see you in the league. The guy has like six high major D1 school on him already
Two: jayshawn Agosto is top #6 in the 2016 class this guy is a real PG you have him like #16 no way the guy is real special don't disrespect him with that low of a ranking
Hey Jayshawn get Jalen to move back and win 3 or 4 state Championships for us!
Yo there a 2016 prospect named marquise mcduffee that should really get checked out. He lives in like I think phoenixville, PA he said but that young man can play
ReplyDeleteIsiah "Zay" Jennings Class of 2016...
ReplyDeletePhila, PA area
Excellent shooter, high IQ, experienced PG, good body, good decision maker, plays under control, rarely turns it over or takes bad shots, knows how to run a ball club and son of a coach.
Guys I was down in Cincy and I took Notice of kid who's a year younger than everyone in his age level and he's around 5'5 and has great hops and a pure jump shot and plays with pure intensity. The game i watched him play in he had 25 pts. 12 asts. he's names Batbayar "BB" Byambakhuu watch out for him.
ReplyDeleteYeah I've seen that kid in cincy play before ar Courts 4 Sports he is a real fine player he beat my sons teams all by his self he was off in the first half and was losing by 12 at halftime and didn't play in 3rd quarter and in 4th he had 22 in the 4th only and beat my sons team 55 - 44 and he had 34 8-12 from 3's he's real good he needs more attention!
ReplyDeleteYo i've seen that kid marquise play and he is a very good player. he's got a very nice handle and is great at setting up teammates. And he can shoot and penetrate. I think he is easily a top 30 player at least in the class of 2016.
ReplyDeleteBennett Sayre. 5'10" 8th grader in Indianapolis. Word is he will be 6'6" plus... playing for former NBA player at a private Christian school... dressing for Varsity! Good all around player that sees the floor well. Playing with D1 recruits at this school. Interesting....

ReplyDeletePlayer in the class of 2016. Height 5"3. Gage Rhoades. Ohio.
Hey that marquise kid I think definitely has some talent. My son goes to Malvern Prep and we played his school church farm not too long ago. He was basically the whole team. he had like 20 something against us. With like 5 min left in the 4th quarter my son's team was winning by 19 and he brought them all the way back til it was a two point game. We ended up winning the game by 4. I don't know how high on the list he could go. but he definitely should be on this list.
ReplyDeleteThere are some kids from Indiana who should get a look. Obviously, Eron Gordon and Vijay Blackmon rep natl attention but there are some other players that are talented as well. Caleb Swanigan(6'6) is a force on the inside and can step outside and hit the 15 footer. Reggie Tharp(5'9) is a dynamic point guard who can distribute and shoot the 3. Jagger Surface(6'1) is a combo guard who can flat out shoot it and his big body allows him to get to the basket as well. There are several others located throughout the state of Indiana as well(Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Gary...)
ReplyDeleteYo I saw marquise at the mid atlantic elite classic against LV timberwolves and he has some major game. He came up big in the clutch moments when his team needed it most. He play for mid county a team from norristown pa and he definetley diserves to be on this list. He definetley has some D1 potential. Also LV had this one kid named Devante cross who was quick had to gaurd and very explosive. Him and Marquise Just went back and fourth that game but Marquise's team came out on top But both have High D1 potential and should be on this list for class of 2016
