Johnson is new to the class, and his standout performance at the recent Buckeye Prep Elite Showcase formally announced his arrival to the class of 2022. Johnson dominated the competition on his way to all-star and Top 5 honors. Highly skilled with a high basketball IQ best describes Johnson's game right now. An elite handle and ability to break down the defense are his calling cards. Jones enjoyed similar success at the showcase in September where he also made the all-star team and was selected among the Top 5. In reality, all 3 of these guards possess similar attributes. The all have elite handles, are smart, and are always in attack mode. When we release our 2022 "Watch List" in a few weeks all 3 of these players will be represented as potential top 10 players. Congratulations to all 3 players for representing the Buckeye State!
Congratulations to all the above mentioned young men. But as I said before, and as the head to head battles has proved, Paul McMillan 4th is better than all three of these young men and it's not even close! Make no mistakes, these boys can play, but numbers don't lie. It's going to be a fun Spring. Lol. Keep your popcorn in hand. ReplyDeleteSammy Scott #4 on this list beat Sonny's team by 20 at the showcase and Sean's team by16 at nationals. Yet, he left Ohio with no hardware. Even the parents in the crowd said he was robbed. See yall next year. Best camp he has attended.
ReplyDeleteSammy is definitely nice! But head to head at Buckey Prep, Paul McMillan team beat Sammy's team, and Paul guarded him the entire game and he only scored twice! Paul had +5 assists, and +20 points in the win. Again he nice! But Paul clearly stood out. Sent from Coach P-Mac

DeleteNice to see these kiddos acknowledged on a National level. As a young player Sean Jones is hands down in a league of his own at the pg position. PM is a great defender and plays more of a shooting guard position. Wishing all of these kids great success.

I watched all three games I saw Sammy Scott go head to head with Sony who had 15 points and 7 assists and Sammy had like 6 pts. and what about the All Star Game when sonny went against Doug McDaniel & Sammy Scott , sonny had 19. And six assists and five rebounds. Prolific performance was at the game that's probably why they ranked Sony 9th in the nation on the previous rankings.his team won and he was clearly mvp
