John Stovall
Apologies to TNBA East. They defeated OBC and Martin's Wolverines. My bad Jermaine. I will get you next time.
ReplyDelete17 Under VJ SOPRTS AAU basketball 1 the best in OHIO!!!
DeleteApologies to TNBA East. They defeated both Martin's Wolverines and OBC. My bad Jermaine.
ReplyDeleteJohn Stovall
TNBA 15's alson won Solon Cage Classic with King James and DB Hoops in it.
DeleteThe rankings are great John. There is a up and coming team in 16u that no one seems to know about. Buckeye Nation Black out of Columbus is team I watched beat the #7 Ohio Phenoms pretty easily at the Adidas Spring classic, and played Ohio Varsity at the Buckeye Prep very close when they were missing a few players. If they were at full strength that game could have gone anyway. Buckeye Nation Black is a team to watch for the rest of this summer in 16u.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see them. What is their schedule? Are they playing in the state qualifier? My only other Ohio event is Watson's event on May 18 - 20 that I will cover for ESPN. John Stovall
DeleteJohn - They are in the Super Sixteen Showcase and the state qualifier. They are a really good team. From what I know the program was started last year, which is why I think they are unknown.
DeleteJohn - did you get a chance to see Buckeye Nation at the Super Sixteen? They were in the final four in Gold Bracket and lost in semis to Mac Irvin Fire. They are backing up my claim.
DeleteDayton Nets 16u should be up there, they beat one of the top three teams in Kentucky at the King James tournament
ReplyDeleteSame response. I would love to see them either at Watson's event on the 19th or the State Qualifier on June 1st. John Stovall
DeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteVery glad to see that db Hoops has made your top 10 in each age group. The only flaw is that db Hoops has beaten Ohio Varsity, King James 2 (which also lost to our 8th grade team) and OBC. Just do not how they can ranked ahead of them.
DB
John is that OV White Team or Blue team? if it is Blue DB hoops never played them.
ReplyDeleteDB hoops beat Ohio Vasity White not Ohio Varsity
ReplyDeleteThere are multiple DB Hoops teams in each age group. To be more specific list the coaches' last name to be sure which one you are referring to. Am I correct in assuming that you are talking about 15U DB Hoops-Williams, 16U DB Hoops-Gensley, 17U DB Hoops-Marshall?
ReplyDeleteI love the rankings; it serves its purpose gives debate and fuels coaches and players to do better.
ReplyDeleteThe 15u rankings are decent!!!
King James is by far and away the best 15u team around hear off pure potential. However All ohio Purple is really strong. Couple strong tourneys left, its not where you start its where you finish. Use this as fuel if you arent ranked then let your play do the talking!! Nothing more or less.
All Ohio purple 15u should def be ranked, they beat the Ohio gators, all Ohio black, and Both Ohio varsity teams, they are a big man or 2 away from being a elite team
Deletethey beat the cincy gators one and lost to them two other times once by 35
DeleteAll Ohio white has been showing many teams up. They are small but there gaurds are very talanted and extrmely tough and they also have one very talented big man. Watch out for them.. They will do some major damage here soon
ReplyDeleteThere not as good as people think they should or could be! just because they have the all ohio name, doesnt mean anything!
DeleteWhat are you talking about? What's their faults? They don't have many
DeleteNot puttin them down in any way sir! Just saying there not as good ass some people say, n the reaoson being is all because they have the all ohio name
DeleteWell I surely do believe that they have the right to wear that name on their chests. They certainly show it on the court
DeleteAll Ohio white is good, they just dont have any elite size. Guard play is good, they r in the same situation as purple. look out for them in upcoming tourneys.
DeleteAll ohio white got ran off by the cyec monarchs at the all ohio nike cup, and they are overrated as an aau team
DeleteTeam One out of Cincinnati ???
ReplyDeleteIs that Ohio varsity white at #6?
ReplyDeleteohio varsity white!
DeleteYES SIR!!! surprise. Small team wit strong players #9,#00,#4,#3
DeleteGood coaches (Craig, Dre).
Yes very surpised and you cant be serious. Watched them play in super 16 not a bad team but not number 6 either. I really think they are talking about the other Ohio Varsity team at number 6.
DeleteTeam one 16's beat shining star in Ky Hoopfest
ReplyDeleteNova Village 17u??
ReplyDeleteDB Hoops Baum beat DB Hoops Williams a couple weeks ago. Both are good teams at U15 and could be rated in the top 10!
ReplyDeleteOhio varsity white at #6 is also a very young talented team, they haven't been together for long at all but have alot of unknown talent! There guards are pretty good and could possibly hang with the best. Pj Wilkes and Chase Riegel do most of the ball handling, Chase does most of the shooting and gives away some of the nicest no look passes! The big Johhny w. is a monster! Johnny is not Evan that tall! hes only 6.2 and can really eat any one up! This Ohio varsity program is no joke! watch out!
ReplyDeleteYea I agree Johnny can beat any center out there he a mis-match monster, he can post up little guys and crossover big men so John check him out he should easily be top ten in the state
DeleteYes that is Ohio varsity-white John Stovall
Deletethink you john!
DeleteWho coaches that team John?
DeleteCoach Craig
DeleteI recently got a chance to watch the young chase Riegel play, He was not running with OV but another AAU team, Chase really controlled the tempo of the game and put up amazing numbers, Chase also had the biggest shot of the game taking the game away from Hidden Gems knocking down a 3 point shot to win the game!
DeleteIs this John im referring too?
Deleteno just the comments that say john, im an old retired coach thats been goin around and watchin the 15u and tryna see what columbus is bringing for the upcoming years
DeleteNova Village 17u beat Shining Star- Schaefer by 24 points at the Adidas may classic today. They also blew Hidden Gems 17u out in Pittsburgh. Should be on that list.
ReplyDeleteno just the comments that say john, im an old retired coach thats been goin around and watchin the 15u and tryna see what columbus is bringing for the upcoming years
ReplyDeleteDayton Nets 16u got runner up at the adidas may classic this weekend, they beat Eric Gordon All-Stars in the semi-finals. They should at least be in the top five
ReplyDeleteBoth Ohio Varsity 15U teams with be showcased in these upcoming events; come see for yourself!
ReplyDeleteAll-Ohio Nike Super Sixteen May 19-20 Cols, OH
Ohio Varsity Classic May 25-28 Cols, OH
AAU State Qualifier June 1-3 Cincy, OH
www.ovbasketball.com
ReplyDeleteAll Ohio Purple 15u should be in the top 10, they beat All Ohio black, Ohio gators, Ohio varsity white&blue.. they won the Buckeye prep tournament, and lost in the finals to All Ohio Red in the championship of the Nike grassroots in a very competitive game
ReplyDeleteThat's true
DeleteI would like to see Ohio Gators play All Ohio Purple Again, now that the Gators have Their PG back. All Ohio Purple was down 12 to the Gators when the Gators didnt have some key components playing. Their PG and shooting gaurd for the Gators might give All Ohio Purple Fits Like their shooting gaurd Austin Adams And Small Forward Katwan Singleton did in the first game.
DeleteAll Ohio purple was missing there big man, o and you can add OBC to the list of "top 10 teams" that they have beat
DeleteFor DB Hoops you are right when you identify 15u as Williams, 16u as Gensley, and 17u as Marshall.
ReplyDeleteChase Reigel is the best player on the aau circuit. He handles the ball very well, is a great shooter, and has some of the best passes I have ever seen! Looking to see him go D1!
ReplyDeleteI should say on the central Ohio circuit.. my bad
Deletethis is Mikey Jenkins with northwest ballers
Deletedo u think the ohio gators can move up?
ReplyDeleteI think the Ohio Gators 15U can move up now that they got their point gaurd back. They are one big man away from competing with #3-#9. They were up by 12 to All Ohio Purple without their best PG and lost on a last second shot. They will show everyone they can play against anyone come june 1-3rd at State in Cincy.
Deleteohio gaters are horrable. get outta here!
DeleteIts Ohio Gators and they Lost to Ohio Varsity by , all Ohio Purple by 2 and led almost the who game, lost to King james by 4, so how can u call them Horrible. A big man away from beating anyone. I remind Ohio Gators have two teams, so maybe your referring to the othet team. Watch Other Gators-Miller and get back to me. Now they got their gaurd back, like I said I would love to see them play All Ohio Purple again..
Deletebut i also heard the other team has caleb brewer john key rc flores
DeleteJohn Key and Caleb Brewer can hold their own, but They need some help especially on the inside. Rc Flores can get consistant they will be decent. I would never call them boys horrible unlike some other person. I like all the Gator teams.
DeleteThe Gators 15u- Miller lost to Ohio Varsity by 2 this past weekend.
DeleteAre any of you guys coming to Chicago to see the Ohio Gators play?
Deleteif the Ohio Gators 15U team, the better one gets some wins the should break into the top 5. watchd Ohio Gators 16U in cbus this weekend n were blowin doors off of teams. it would also be nice to see the other 15U team get some W's
Deletehorrible? you cant be serious! if they find a QUALITY post player they will be top 3 EASY! Austin Adams and John Key are beast but can only do so much!!!!!!!!
Deletei watched the Gators play in columbus last weekend and they can play some ball watched the 15U A and B team both can play but the A team needs a little more coaching i think seemed like the coach gave up on them towards the end of the game. the B team well there the B team for a reason
DeleteSo saw the Ohio gators while watching my son play for Quad City Elite. We blew them out! But something didn't seem right so I kept my eye on them. N let me say they surprised me ended up getting 3rd in silver bracket I think. If we played them again the score might be different congrats to the B team
DeleteAll-Ohio White has an extremely athletic and talented big man by the name of Nick Potts. He's a fantastic scorer who puts up great numbers every weekend. Watch out for him in the future. And also to add he's listed at 6'6 and still growing! Never seen this bug I an athlete
ReplyDeleteDB Hoops 15u has solid players and will play hard at all times. Jordan Stock, Tanner Houska, Tyler Dunn, Brogan Scott, Austin Marciniak are all tough players.
ReplyDeleteThe DBHoops mentioned in the top ten is DB Baum and not DB Williams. DB Baum has won a couple of tournaments and has finished second a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteCincinatti lakers should also be in the top 10 for 17u after pretty solid wins at the addidas may classic
ReplyDeleteDBHOOPS Baum 15u just won central ohio basketball classic
ReplyDeleteWhich is an oyb tournament.... so it's not sayin much
DeleteToo funny. Your team probably went to what you call a tougher tournament and lost. DB Baum is a quality team. They were a final 12 team in the King James Classic and lost by four to the team that played in the Championship. There were 90 teams in that tournament. Is that sayin much. Now they are playing their best ball of the year and coming together.
DeleteIt's still an Ohio youth basketball tournament ... Just saying if they are as good as they sound then they should be doing so damage in the bigger tournaments around the state and making a name for themselves.
DeleteCan anyone name that kids name for Ohio varsity blue that has a D1 gaurd play. I have been witnessing his poised play all season..his # is 11?
ReplyDeleteLLoyd Chatman One of the best guards in the area. Not well known but equally talented. Dont sleep on this kid.
DeleteI agree Lloyd is under the radar. Who coach's his team ? I love watching there coach he is very emotional, you can tell he has a passion for the game and care about the kids. At times I think he is to hard on the kids but there parents don't seem to have a problem with it..
DeleteYes...that's him. I would love to see this kid in his junior year. That's going to be a thrill to watch in his city.
DeleteOhio varsity blue 15u? That is!
ReplyDeleteKing James 2 beat All-Ohio once last year and beat them again in the super 16 last weekend to win the tournament. They also beat Ohio Varsity, Ohio Gaters, All-Ohio White, All-Ohio Black, REACH Legends, and DB hoops Baum. Their ranking should be moved up.
ReplyDeleteI second that...Give credit where credit is due..
DeleteAnd Team work beat All-Ohio two games in a row to win a tournament this summer....
DeleteDB HOOPS BAUM also beat Northern Kings from Canada who won addidas super 64 last year.
ReplyDeleteAop 15u beat the northern kings by 25 at king James this year after beating the Ohio Gators
Deleteohio gaters should move up. austin adams average 21 against the top teams. come watch in this weekend in chicago
ReplyDeleteWait till you guys see Family II you will be surprised. They are a great team who plays very hard.
ReplyDeleteAOP 15u has beat in all of these "top teams" with 8 players, 6 of whom are guards and there tallest guard is 5'10, and there tallest person is 6'2, just sayin
ReplyDeleteHow is it that Kjss is ranked 5th.. Who won the super 16 last weekend in 15 u?
ReplyDeleteThe ohio gaters did well last week against king james which they lost by 4 so they should be up higher, the other 15u gaters team did well they were going at it with all ohio white until the end and did well against db hoops but yes, they need some major help inside
ReplyDeleteNONE OF THESE TEAMS SHOULD BE RANKED WHO DOES THE RANKING SOME AMATUER THAT NEVER PLAYED BASKETBALL BEFORE. STOP GIVING SOME OF THESE KIDS FALSE HOPE. PLAY SOME DEFENSE MOST OF THESE KIDS DON'T EVEN PLAY FOR THEIR SCHOOL AND IF THEY DO ITS ON THE BENCH.
ReplyDeleteThe gators did very good this weekend in chicago losing in the final four to d-wades team who would beat all of the all ohio teams including red and king james so the gators rankings should go up.
ReplyDeletethe gators did good this weekend in chicago won the championship
ReplyDeletegators B team won championship btw NOT A
ReplyDelete17u Ohio Raptors? Those boys can play. Have you heard of them John?
ReplyDeleteanyone agree that Hidden Gems black and Orange could possibly be up there ?
ReplyDeleteTo the angry poster with all caps. Yeah your right these teams are garbage. King James 15u is terrible with two of the freshman best guards in the state. Luke Kennard and Aj Harris. Also have guys such as Kyle Ahrens, macio Teague and big man Nate Fwoler. Your also right that the 16u rankings are messed up. The number 3 team shouldnt be in the top 10. With some of the top players in the state they shouldnt be up there. Justin Bibbs, Vincent Edwards, and one of the best guards I have seen in awhile Zack McCormick. Last but not least 17u. Your right angry man All Ohio is terrible. Playing in national showcases every weekend. Having top players such as Jaaron Simmons, Nigel Hayes, up and coming player zack Denny. Yeah these rankings are terrible. But in all seriousness keep doing your thing John. Dont listen to the people on here whos teams probably play in the kingdom league in franklin ohio. These rankings are very accurate.
ReplyDeleteOhio varsity white is not all that good John you must be talking about the other Ohio Varsity
ReplyDeleteOhio Varsity white loss to
King James , db hoops, all Ohio purple and black, obc, club Ohio more than 20 like there good but not 10 in the state good
Yea they got top 30 state players but they don't know how to play together
DeleteTnba east 15u beat king james in solon cage classic and Db hoops were in that tournament as well and Tnba east were the champions of the 15u solon cage classic
ReplyDeleteDB Hoops did not have Tyler Dunn (Injured) nor Addison Crawford both due to injuries those are big parts to the team. And changed the outcome of the championship game.
DeleteThe club Ohio team has only been together for a little less than one year but they are growing. They beat the king james 2 team up in the Michigan storm classic and went on to beat the storm in the championship by 19. They did however lose to the king james 2 team in Orlando today in the final four. both teams however have alot of new members since playing up in Michigan. Watch out for Myo Baxter, Jamil Daniels, Dylan Lowery and Andrew McCullum. Nobody really talks about these kids but they are talented ball players and can play.
ReplyDeletethere's another player on OV, he's skinny i think he's 6'2. his name is Dre mills he is a talented player just need better basketball iq.
ReplyDeletewhat is the ranking criteria? Wins/Losses, Placements? Graduation Rates? Net Value of Scholarships? Types of Schools accepting players? Just curious, because when I see a guy going to Angelina College versus a guy going to Williams College I'm thinking one I never heard of and the other is world renown and has an acceptance rate of 16% (what time period is this?)
ReplyDeleteNWO elite crushed both gators teams in the 15u division and was 1 of only 6 teams to get a division 1 national tournament bid, how are they not top 10?
ReplyDeleteTNBA WEST 10th grade team Made Gold bracket in Super 16, Beat the Toledo Rough Riders in Gold Bracket and and then hung tough for a half with VCC Warriors.
ReplyDeleteFor the 15U, didn't All-Ohio Red lose two games in a row to Team Work, including a championship game, in their only head to head matchup?
ReplyDeleteTrent Martin's PBC has beaten all those teams. I see no mention of them on any page any where.
