Teague Leads Princeton Red to GMC Championship
On Saturday, the Cincinnati-based Princeton Community Middle School placed 2 teams in the GMC Championship Game. The Macio Teague-led Red team was down 3-5 points to the Grey squad at the end of the 3rd quarter. For most of the game, the Grey team employed a box and one Teague, thus limiting him to only 2 free throws entering the 4th quarter. Trailing by 7 points late in the 4th period, the Red coach drew up a play devised to get Teague a shot and he converted. Teague later ran off 16 straight points hitting, four treys in the process, and finished the final period with 20 points. Teague finished the game with a team-high 22 points, as the Princeton Community Middle School Red team went on to claim a 10 point victory.
