NYBL South Well Represented in Power 24 Top 10

Deron Willimas Elite Make Power Move

Below is a link to the updated Power 24 Team Rankings. Since the release of the pre-season ranking, results from session #1 have been factored in.  Although Ohio Select remains at the top after a 5-0 run in Maryland, the updated rankings reflect some movement.  Carolina Preps remain in the top 10 and are joined by Southern Stampede, Metrolina Havoc, S.C. Hornets and Carolina Chaos from the South.

No team made a bigger move up the rankings than the Carolina Chaos, who jumped 14 spots from 22nd to 8th.  Few people had heard about the Chaos heading in to Maryland because they played up a year for most of the last few years.  It will be interesting to see just how good they are at session #2 when the competition is amped up.

With their undefeated record in DC, Texas’ Deron Williams Elite made a power move from #12 in the pre-season rankings all the way up to #3 in the updated rankings. The other Texas team, Future Phenoms, moved up 6 spots from 19th to 13th. After going 1-4 last week, Team Izod/Sports U moves down from 7th to 15th. There are sure to be a lot more movement after session #2, as the top 2 divisions in the league square off in North Augusta, South Carolina in a few weeks!
