BPR Elite Showcase II 8th/9th Grade All-Stars

By most accounts, the Buckeye Prep Elite Showcase II was a great success. Despite the fact that football season is in full awing, approximately 100 players descended on Gahanna Lincoln High School for a day of competitive basketball.

One of the goals of the elite showcase is to get young aspiring players as much early exposure as possible. To this end, there were several prominent scouting services in the house including: Prep Spotlight's John Stoval, Hoop Scoop's Chris Johnson, Ohio High School Hoops' Kurt Stubbs II, High Major Scoop's Chaz Wolfe and Bucknuts.com's Jeff Rapp.

In terms of the format, the one-day showcase featured 3 league games and concluded with all-star games in each of the 2 divisions. In the 8th/9th grade all-star game, Jalen Rhea, Aaron Jackson and Keith Richardson Jr. led the Red team to a 65-36 victory over the White squad. In the 6th/7th grade all-star game, Isiah Jones, Nate Fowler and Macio Teague paced the Red team over the White team 74-57.

  3. Jacob Slone is a great player and coaches kid from akron ohio. He shoots the three great dribbler and good defender. Was all-star MVP at Five-Star, the best camp in the nation. 14u he'll do something special when he finally is noticed by stupid camps like these
